The Wrestling Observer believes that SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte and Tamina Snuka were on a collision course for a program, but those plans were put on hold when Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan were promoted from WWE NXT to SmackDown Live.
This would have been interesting, as both women are second-generation stars (Charlotte Flair is the daughter of Ric Flair, and Tamina Snuka is the daughter of Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka) and both are seen as powerhouses.
It would seem the Riott Squad storyline has tabled those plans for now.
It remains to be seen whether this particular program transpires after the Charlotte vs. The Riott Squad storyline plays itself out.
Tamina is one woman who’s been lost in the mix, so a push for her would have been quite interesting.
The Wrestling Observer speculates that the heart of the matter is more TV time for the NXT Call-Ups. They need more visibility to get over.
