Insects Poop Is Making Taj Mahal Turn Green And Black

With green and black patches again emerging on the iconic Taj Mahal due to insect attack, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is once again set to start mud pack treatment on the marbled monument. This would be the fourth time since 2015 that the chemical branch of ASI has initiated the therapy to remove blackish-green stains left after the insect attack.

Superintendent archaeological chemist of ASI, M K Bhatnagar, said, “The attacks will keep happening till a solution is found to control breeding of insects in the polluted water of Yamuna river.”
