Backstage SD News, Sin Cara Update, Brie Bella on Depression

Tonight’s episode of SmackDown will be airing live from the Wichita, Kansas. Some potentially big updates have been provided just hours before the show goes on the air. According to PWInsider, Rowan is backstage right now. The report also noted that Rowan’s tag team partner, Harper, is not backstage but was training for his in-ring return at the WWE Performance Center yesterday. Meanwhile, Mike and Maria Kanellis are not backstage for tonight’s show. The 205 Live crew usually travels with the SmackDown roster since both shows are shot back to back. The sudden disappearance of the Kanellis’ comes right after a week of conflicting reports over whether or not they’ve both asked to be released from WWE.
It’s been a long time since Sin Cara has appeared on WWE programming, but the masked Luchador seems to be getting closer to making his in-ring return with each passing day. In an update provided by PWInsider earlier today, it was noted that Sin Cara has been training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. It was also revealed that Sin Cara will be working with Rey Mysterio once he is ready to come back to SmackDown. Sin Cara and Mysterio did briefly team up together back in the day, but that was back when the Sin Cara character was being portrayed by Mistico. Fans of Lucha Libre should definitely be looking forward to seeing Sin Cara return to either realign or feud with Mysterio later this year.
Fans may remember an unfortunate incident from a six-woman tag team match on Raw back in September. The moment in question saw Brie Bella legitimately kick Liv Morgan in the head twice by accident. Morgan received a severe concussion as a result of the kicks, and Bella received a ton of criticism online. In an interview with Digital Spy, Bella said that the backlash even caused her to fall into a depression. Bella said that she felt afraid and worried after the incident occurred, but she convinced herself to move past it. Bella promised that fans will be able to see the issue addressed during the ongoing season of Total Bellas on the E! network. Brie Bella maintains that the whole ordeal was just a terrible accident.

“We never want to go out there and hurt each other so when it happens
it’s emotional. But people are going to hear my side of the story and my
voice and how it’s about damn time that trolls stopped going on the
internet and bullying everyone.”
Bella said.
