Backstage News on Revival Asking for Release; WWE Trying to Control Situation

— The Revival asking for their release was discussed on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio with it being noted that the tag team had been wanting to ask for their release “for a while” and intended to speak to Vince McMahon before their match on Raw. However, Vince was so busy with the Braun Strowman segment that they waited until after their match to talk to him.

— The duo remains under contract until April 2020 and were in action over the weekend at house shows but ultimately are eyeing a jump to AEW. As noted before, WWE may actually end up pushing the Revival as they are doing the same with Andrade because they don’t want the perception backstage and in the public eye that their wrestlers want to jump ship especially to AEW.
